Manfrotto Compact Advanced Aluminium Tripod with 3 Way Head
A lightweight alternative is the sturdy and flexible aluminium tripod by Manfrotto. It is considerably cheaper than the Neewer and is a good option if you’re filming indoors.

Remote controls
Various remote control options are available for controlling the teleprompter app.

Prompt+ teleprompter app
Perfect for use in a physical teleprompter device. Allows you to control the scrolling remotely using a Bluetooth remote control or even another iOS device.

Teleprompter for Video app
If you’re on a budget, this app can be used instead of a physical teleprompter. The app record video at the same time as displaying the scrolling script.

Lesson 11: Location and Building a Set

If you’re struggling with outside noise or room echo you should consider using soundproofing foam like these.

Andoer softbox lights
A pair of softbox lights will ensure consistent lighting in all your videos. These Andoer lights are dimmable and can be controlled remotely, which makes them ideal for a solo course creator.

Backdrop screens
If your set needs a new background there are a variety of screen designs available to buy. The one used in this course was 10ft by 10ft.

Backdrop stands
To hold your backdrop screen, you will need a stand of the equivalent size. This 10ft x 8.5ft frame by Emart is perfect for the job.

Neewer Professional Video Light with Barndoor
To light the presenter and separate them from the green screen a video light such as this one by Neewer should be used.

The DJI Osmo Mobile 3 has a 3-axis gimbal which delivers a super-smooth, stabilized image.

This Neewer video light was used in the course as a rim light to separate the presenter from the screen and give a 3-dimensional image.

Lesson 22: Audio and Microphones

The Smartlav+ can be discreetly positioned near your mouth to pick up every word you say clearly. The wired version is much more affordable than other alternatives.

Rode Wireless GO
If you’re prepared to pay a little extra to get rid of the wires, a great solution is the Rode Wireless Go.
